Major League Soccer and Adidas have unveiled the One Planet pre-match jersey, which will be worn league-wide on the pitch this month. They will be worn for pre-match warm-ups at Bank of America Stadium as Charlotte FC takes on Toronto FC on April 13th, and MLS celebrates Earth Day and continues its goal of becoming the most sustainable league in sports.
A celebration of the planet from a fresh perspective, the three distinct colorways are inspired by natural ecosystems: woods, soil, and water. It takes all of them together to restore forested areas. MLS hopes the jerseys will serve as a call to action, inspiring people to work together in the collective stewardship of our forests.
