Bojangles Welcomes Charlotte FC to its Hometown with Major Partnership Deal

CHARLOTTE, N.C.Ā (SeptemberĀ 8,Ā 2021)Ā ā€“Ā CharlotteĀ FCĀ andĀ BojanglesĀ announced today a multi-year partnership agreement,Ā cementingĀ the Charlotte-basedĀ restaurant brand famous for its Southern recipesĀ as theĀ Official Tailgate Partner andĀ Tailgate Headquarters ofĀ the Queen Cityā€™s new Major League SoccerĀ club.Ā Ā

Along withĀ theĀ official tailgateĀ designation, BojanglesĀ has made a significant commitment to the clubā€™s community engagement efforts, which includeĀ partneringĀ with Charlotte FC on the construction of a mini-pitch at a to-be-determined location in the Carolinas andĀ supportingĀ the clubā€™s afterschoolĀ soccerĀ programmingĀ with aĀ focus on literacy.Ā Ā Ā 

The partnership also providesĀ BojanglesĀ with additionalĀ activationĀ and promotional opportunities, includingĀ a new Bojangles section in the stadium. The Southern chain will carry on itsĀ popularĀ ā€œBring Me Bojanglesā€Ā in-stadium promotion that deliversĀ its famous chicken and biscuitsĀ to one lucky fan at each Charlotte FC match,Ā beginning with the teamā€™sĀ inauguralĀ season in 2022.Ā Bojangles will alsoĀ serve as the entitlementĀ sponsorĀ forĀ one of the matches during each season of theĀ deal, which includes activations on site and fan giveaways.Ā Ā

The fan-favorite restaurant and new home of CharlotteĀ soccer hosted an announcement event at the Bojangles onĀ 1402 West Trade St., Charlotte,Ā where they officially kicked off their partnership alongside key stakeholders from bothĀ organizations. Bojangles CEO JoseĀ ArmarioĀ and CMO Jackie Woodward gathered with Charlotte FC President Nick KellyĀ and Tepper Sports & Entertainment President Tom GlickĀ to make the announcement.Ā To celebrate, Bojangles will be giving out co-branded Bojangles and Charlotte FC soccer scarves at the West Trade St. location with the purchase of its Family Meal while supplies last.Ā Ā 

Bojangles has also renewed its longstanding relationship with the Carolina Panthers and will work with Tepper Sports & Entertainment to engage with both organizations year-round as tailgating in Charlotte is crucial to bring fans closer to the game.
