With his start in Charlotte FC's 2-0 victory against Toronto FC, Captain Ashley Westwood made his 100th appearance for the Club.
Arriving in Charlotte ahead of the 2023 season, Westwood has been a model of consistency and endurance.
The English midfielder has made an appearance in every league match except six. In those appearances, he has worn the Captain's armband in all of them and has played the full 90 minutes in all but five matches.
Prior to his time with Charlotte FC, Westwood amassed 489 appearances across the English football pyramid, 286 of them in the Premier League during his time with Aston Villa and Burnley.
In September 2024, Westwood signed a new contract that kept him with the Club through 2026 with an option for 2027.
