CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Monday, October 19, 2026) - Charlotte FC forward Idan Toklomati was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 31 after contributing a goal and assist in The Crown’s 2-2 draw at the Philadelphia Union. Charlotte FC remains in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings with four matches remaining in regular season play.

Toklomati scored his 13th MLS regular season goal of the year on Saturday, setting the new Club record for most goals scored in a single MLS regular season. Toklomati now moves to 18 goal contributions (13G/5A) on the year, tied for 28th in MLS.

On Saturday, Toklomati contributed to both of Charlotte FC’s goals coming out of the halftime break. Following a throw-in from Nathan Byrne, Toklomati received the ball and delivered a leading pass to Rodolfo Aloko, who finished with a right-footed kick across his body to the right corner of the goal, equalizing the score 1-1.

Toklomati broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute to give Charlotte FC a 2-1 lead. Positioned outside the box, David Schnegg spotted Toklomati’s run towards goal, placing a spectacular curved ball to the head of the forward for an even better finish.

The Crown will travel to the West Coast to take on the Portland Timbers on Saturday, October 24. Kickoff from Providence Park is set for 10:30 p.m. ET and the match will be broadcast on Apple TV.
