CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Thursday, December 9, 2021) – Charlotte FC today celebrates the official unveiling of its first primary kit at a fan-focused event at Camp North End. Featuring branding of the Club’s founding partners, including Ally as the lead, front-of-jersey sponsor and Centene Corporation as the secondary sleeve partner, the blue-and-white adidas kit has an iconic, vibrant design that showcases North and South Carolina together on the jock tag in the lower left corner.
The “Carolina” kit is set to be worn by Charlotte FC’s players for the 2022 and 2023 MLS seasons. The Club kicks off their inaugural season with a match against D.C. United at Audi Field on Saturday, February 26, 2022, followed by their first-ever MLS match at Bank of America Stadium against LA Galaxy on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
“As our fans look forward to the debut of Charlotte FC in 2022, the new primary kit represents the bold and progressive philosophy of the Club and embodies the pride and passion of our community,” said Charlotte FC President Nick Kelly. “This kit symbolizes our mission to unite fans across the Carolinas as we make history in MLS and in soccer in the United States.”
As part of the celebration to launch the kit, CLTFC and Ally are hosting “The Ally Vault Experience” at Camp North End, a custom experiential obstacle course where fans sneak into the CLTFC locker room and venture through the laser security system to reach the kit.
“As an ally for the club from the beginning, we couldn’t be more excited to finally share the kit with fans at Camp North End and across the country tonight,” said Ally Chief Marketing and Public Relations Officer Andrea Brimmer. “This is a milestone event for soccer in the Carolinas and, after more than 2 years of anticipation, hard to fathom that in less than 90 days we’ll finally see the Ally logo across the chests of the players as they take the pitch.”
“The Ally Vault Experience” is open at Camp North End for all fans on Friday, December 10 (5:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.) and Saturday, December 11 (12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.), and is free of charge. To visit the experience, fans should register at Allykit.com. Ally and Charlotte FC are also hosting several activities throughout the weekend including player and celebrity appearances. Those unable to attend the event also can visit Allykit.com to participate in an augmented reality kit try-on experience from their mobile device.
The new primary kit is available for purchase beginning at 7:15 p.m. ET tonight at CharlotteFootballClub.com.
