Veteran midfielder brings over 100 matches of MLS experience to the Queen City.
CHARLOTTE, NC (Wednesday, February 21, 2024) - Charlotte FC today announced the Club has signed midfielder JĂșnior Urso to a contract through 2024 with an option for 2025.
Charlotte FC acquired Ursoâs right of first refusal from Orlando City SC in exchange for $50,000 General Allocation Money (GAM) in 2025.

Urso played 96 times for Orlando City in regular season play across three and half seasons where he scored 12 goals and added 10 assists. The Brazilian featured in seven playoff matches and started the 2022 U.S. Open Cup Final which Orlando City won.
Prior to playing in Major League Soccer, Urso racked up nearly 300 professional appearances in both Brazil and China. In addition to his U.S. Open Cup success, Urso helped guide SD Luneng to the Chinese Cup and Chinese Super Cup.
