Morris will lead U-22 scouting efforts bringing over a decade of experience
Charlotte, NC (Thursday, October 19, 2023) – Charlotte Football Club today announced Tom Morris has joined the Club as the Head of Regional Scouting.
Morris will lead the organization’s scouting efforts for under-22 players, with a focus on discovering and identifying the best young talent to add the Pro-Player Pathway for Charlotte FC, Crown Legacy FC and Charlotte FC Academy.
“Tom joins the Club with a proven record of success and over a decade of experience,” said Director of Scouting Thomas Schaling. “His background in both coaching and scouting will be instrumental in identifying top prospects and bringing them into our environment at an early age. Tom’s role will be crucial in completing the Pro-Player Pathway, and we are excited for his contribution in the Club’s future success.”
Morris joins the Crown from reigning USL League One champions South Georgia Tormenta FC where he was Associate Head Coach and Head Scout. The Reading, England Native brings over 10 years of scouting and 15 years of coaching experience.

Morris is currently finishing his UEFA B coaching license and currently holds a UEFA C license and United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma.
