Liel Abada and Idan Toklomati (Israel), Rodolfo Aloko (Benin) and Andrew Johnson (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) have been called up by their respective national teams for the upcoming international break.
Abada and Toklomati will compete for Israel in the UEFA Nations League. The Charlotte FC forward duo will play in League B in Group B3, facing Austria, Ireland and Kosovo twice each in home and away matches.
If Israel wins the group, they will earn promotion to League A for the 2028-29 UEFA Nations League that could potentially include top soccer countries like England, Germany and France. Second place in the group would mean that they qualify for a two-leg promotion playoff to earn a spot in League A.
Abada has made 18 appearances for Israel, recording a goal and three assists. Toklomati has made seven appearances for the country, making his first in 2023 at 19. Abada’s call-up to the Nations League squad will be his first appearance for Israel since playing in an international friendly against Slovakia on October 6, 2025, while Toklomati appeared in an international friendly versus Albania on March 6.
Aloko and Benin are competing for a spot in the Africa Cup of Nations for a second consecutive year. They’ll be in Group F along with Burkina Faso, Mauritania and the Central African Republic, playing each team twice. Benin will play Burkina Faso and Mauritania during this window. Along with the two qualification games, Benin will play Argentina in Lionel Messi’s final farewell match on October 6.
Aloko is on the precipice of his ninth appearance with Benin. He appeared in two World Cup qualification games as well as all four of Benin’s Africa Cup of Nations games last year, including starting in their Round of 16 game against Egypt.
Johnson will appear for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the CONCACAF Nations League. Saint Vincent is in League B in Group D of the competition with French Guiana, Belize and Saint Maarten. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have four matches in the competition, facing French Guiana and Belize once and Saint Maarten twice.
Should Saint Vincent and the Grenadines finish first in the group, they’d earn promotion to League A and advance to the League B semi-finals in March. Winning Group D also earns the country a spot in the Gold Cup for the second time in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ history, the first time being in 1996.
Johnson has appeared six prior times for the country, the latest being for CONCACAF World Cup qualification on June 10, 2025, when he started at center back.
Crown Legacy FC goalkeeper Jahiem Wickham also received a call-up for Trinidad and Tobago. They play in League A, Group A of the CONCACAF Nations League with Costa Rica, Haiti, Curaçao, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
If Wickham appears in a game, it’ll be his first international cap for Trinidad and Tobago. Wickham has appeared in eight games for Crown Legacy this season, keeping two clean sheets. He was drafted with the 82nd overall pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
