Program Overview
In a dynamic partnership with our founding partner, Ally, Charlotte FC is proud to highlight the continued expansion of the Greater Goals initiative with the 2024 Fall semester. The Fall season kicked off on September 9th and will run for 12 weeks.
Building upon our shared commitment to empowering communities, Ally has taken the lead in driving enhancement and funding for this program, reflecting their deep dedication to fostering positive change through sport.
Growth of the Program
Since its inception, Greater Goals has grown to encompass  40+ schools, across both Charlotte and Winston-Salem. Together, we are now reaching more than 1,350 young players, forging a path toward empowerment, skill-building, and social development. 
This evolution represents an exciting step forward for the program. It will bolster the Ally Greater Goals mission, amplifying its impact throughout the year.
Objectives & Milestones
At its core, Ally Greater Goals continues to provide invaluable after-school soccer and literacy programming for Title 1 elementary school students. Skillful coaches and mentors engage participants with hour-long sessions twice a week, instilling soccer proficiency and vital social values like teamwork, respect, inclusion, and hard work. 
In partnership with Ally, some of the major milestones of the Ally Greater Goals program in 2024 will include:
- Our largest Greater Goals playday in Club history held at Atrium Health Performance Park in May
- New reversible Greater Goals jerseys that match the team’s primary and secondary kits
- A new Pitches for Progress mini pitch at a Greater Goals school (expected October 2024)
Building the Future
Greater Goals has been and continues to be an integral part of Charlotte FC's comprehensive community outreach, underscoring our commitment to encouraging growth through sports. As we expand our horizons and extend our influence, Ally Greater Goals joins the ranks of our core programs focused on youth including - Pitches for Progress and Captain's Academy. Together, these endeavors weave a tapestry of transformation, reflecting our dedication to nurturing upward mobility and positive change.
