CLFC bolsters its roster leading up to 2024 preseason camp
CHARLOTTE, NC (Thursday, January 25, 2023) – Crown Legacy FC announced today the Club has signed forward Dylan Sing and defenders Julian Bravo and Jean-Aniel Assi in preparations for the 2024 season.
“We are thrilled to add Dylan, Julian and Jean-Aniel to what we are building at Crown Legacy FC,” said Assistant General Manager Bobby Belair. “All three are talented players with great character who will bring experience to the team despite being young in their professional careers. We are excited to watch Dylan, Julian and Jean-Aniel grow in our environment and help them take the next step in their careers.”
Sing, joins CLFC after a successful career with Western Michigan University, and earned the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Player of the Year and Forward of the Year in 2023.
Sing, 23, was a stalwart for the Broncos, earning 90 appearances and contributing 34 goals and 22 assists in five seasons. As his career progressed, Sing became a focal point in the Broncos’ offense with his best season coming in 2023, starting all 23 matches and notching 17 goals and eight assists.
His performance and league-high six game winning goals earned him All-MVC First Team honors and led Western Michigan to a 17-1-4 record, an MVC Conference Championship and two wins in the NCAA Tournament. Sing was also named College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team Member of the Year last season.
Prior to Western Michigan transitioning to the MVC, Sing was named to the All-MAC Second Team in back-to-back seasons in 2021 and 2022.
Bravo, 23, adds significant MLS NEXT Pro experience to Crown Legacy FC after playing for Timbers 2 in each of the League’s first two seasons. Primarily featuring as a center back, Bravo contributed two goals and one assist in 46 appearances and nearly 4000 minutes.
Previously, Bravo was selected 55th overall by the Portland Timbers in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft. He made his first team debut against LAFC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup as a substitute.
A California native, Bravo played his college career at Santa Clara University and made 55 appearances across four seasons, earning four goals and six assists for the Broncos.
Assi, a former CF Montréal academy product, comes to the Queen City after two loan stints in the Canadian Premier League. The right back spent a year with both Cavalry FC (2022) and Atlético Ottawa (2023) where he made 45 appearances and had six goal contributions across the two seasons.
Assi, 19, signed as a Homegrown player with CF Montréal on December 4, 2020, and made his professional debut just 11 days later in a 1-0 win over CD Olimpia in CONCACAF Champions League. He became the youngest player to play for the club at 16 years old and 125 days.
Assi represented the Canadian Youth National Team at both the U-15 and U-20 level.
