CLFC adds MLS experience ahead of 2024 season
CHARLOTTE, NC (Tuesday, February 13, 2024) – Crown Legacy FC today announced the signing of midfielder Cameron Duke.
Duke, 22, joins CLFC with plenty of MLS experience, earning 54 appearances and 22 starts as a Sporting Kansas City Homegrown. The midfielder scored two goals and assisted three others in MLS matches.
“Cameron is an exciting young midfielder with dynamism and versatility” said Assistant General Manager Bobby Belair. “His extensive experience in MLS Next Pro and as a Homegrown in MLS will benefit our team, and we are thrilled to provide Cameron with a new opportunity ahead of the 2024 season.”
A Kansas native, Duke signed a Homegrown contract with Sporting KC in July 2019 and made his professional debut a year later, stepping on for SKC as a substitute during the MLS is Back Tournament.
Duke has made 19 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro, notching three goals and one assist in two seasons.
The midfielder has also represented the United States Youth National Teams at multiple levels in different matches and competitions, earning six caps.
Duke and Charlotte FC defender Jaylin Lindsey rose through the ranks together in Sporting KC’s academy, represented the USYNT together on one occasion and both earned Homegrown contracts with Sporting KC.
